in a harness secured by a series of cables, you will fly through the highest trees in the rainforest, being able to observe birds, animals and plants. The tour lasts around 2-3 hours. This means of travel among the trees was first invented by scientists as a way of studying nature, and only later introduced as a way to give tourists a closer look at the rainforests. Now it is one of the most popular tourist activities in Costa Rica. The canopy consists of platforms and a series of cables attached to very tall trees. Your harness is then attached to the cables, and you are allowed to “zip” from tree to tree, giving you a great adrenaline rush, as you are almost flying through the trees. The vantage point from the tops of the trees is a unique experience, and allows you to be in total contact with nature.
