At the hotel "Villas Gaia", you can  arrange a kayak tour down the Térraba River. The Térraba River is the largest river in Costa Rica; about 168 km long, and it starts high in the mountains and ends in the ocean. There you will find class I, II and III rapids. The trip lasts the entire day and costs about $65 (includes transportation, bilingual guide and lunch).
Price: Around $40 for a half day. To take a tour in a kayak is an unforgettable experience, whether it’s in the ocean or rivers. Playing in the waves, traveling the length of an entire beach, exploring rock formations, or just enjoying a private and tranquil bay are just some of the pleasures of kayaking in the ocean. Taking a tour down a river or to explore the mangroves offers a great opportunity to observe a countless quantity of wildlife. 
You can rent kayaks by the hour or take a guided tour. Some beaches that are difficult to access, can be reached on foot, like Playa Arcos (arches) that is near Playa Piñuelas. You will be able to rent kayaks at most beaches, such as Dominical, Uvita, Pavones, Zancudo and Puerto Jimenez.
