Language:

The principal language here is Spanish, although in the tourist areas, including the majority of beaches, English or Spanglish (the Spanish spoken by Gringos or the English spoken by some Costa Ricans (Ticos) is spoken. Also in some indigenous reserves, dialects such as Guaymi, Cabecar and Bibri are spoken.
