Los Ranchos Restaurant has many years of experience and I have visited it several times, in all have been very satisfied with the taste, attention and price.

 

The typical Costa Rican atmosphere is quite nice, the place is fresh, good-tasting food, especially meats, I think that's his specialty, both the ribs and chop, in the case of chops, thick and juicy are; but they do not ask the end of the (raw, medium or cooked) meat, usually served as medium taste and is pretty good.

 

The meat dishes served with a rice, fried plantains and some vegetables. In addition, courtesy of the house served a plate of tortillas with refried beans to go snacking while serving the food.

 

The waiting time is normal, in all our visits not have had to wait more than 20 minutes.

 

It has a small playground for children, although this last visit (08/05/16) did not have a large area, only a few hammocks, there is always room for children; and in the case of my son what he most enjoyed was walking in the rowboat (which is a free service for customers) with me knowing the little lake, for my son this was an adventure and a very big fun. But there should be more facilities to board the boat, the area of ??the "spring" is very rudimentary and dangerous slip and fall into the water.

 

The background music is nice, (but modern popular music which is not in keeping with the atmosphere of the place) and the attention of the waiters also, the parking is ample and visitors can also fish the trout next to the restaurant. It is a pleasant experience.

 

The pool is small and I have not visited.

 

This place needs more typical spaces, for example having a marimba, presentations of typical dancing groups, traditional music, some accessories and souvenirs, traditional dances or others. May be for special dates.

 

Prices: The price / flavor / service relationship is good, but not excellent, so I suggest get a certifications, may be from ICT, then and justify more the price of the service.

 

A roasted chop (thick, juicy, average) with accompanying, the price is 6200 colones. +/- $ 12

 

A trout with accompanying 5200 colones. +/- $ 10

 

A children's menu: chicken fingers and fries around 3000 colones. +/- $ 6

 

Location: General Viejo de Perez Zeledon, from the football soccer place 500 m north west, the sign on the right indicates the entrance, about 25 m North this entry.

 

Service: The waiters are nice and good treatment, the delivery time of the dishes is acceptable and around 20 min.
