Last night was the tenth edition of the Festival of Lights of the Valley, and there were many beautiful floats covered in many lights – eleven to be exact. This took place in San Isidro del General, as is the custom.
Among the different floats, some had Christmas themes, like a snowman, and a house covered in decorations. Others had a theme about Pérez Zeledón. Still, others had themes that had nothing to do with either of the two, giving way to creativity.
This festival resembles the one that takes place in San José which is much older than this one. This is only the tenth edition of the Festival of Lights of the Valley, but the original one in San José has been going on since 1996.
For this activity to take place, the main roads of San Isidro were closed so that the parade could go on without interruption. Not only that, but the bus stops were also moved so that people could travel without any type of problem.
