Getting to Puerto Jiménez, Península de Osa, Corcovado National Park.

Once you arrive in Costa Rica, you can choose between the following options to get to Puerto Jiménez.

Commuter Flights


Both Sansa and Nature Air fly daily from San José to Puerto Jiménez . It's a beautiful flight, with extraordinary views of the Golfo Dulce. (50 minute flight).
It's important to note that there`s a baggage restriction of 25 pounds per person. Any extra weight is charged at 45 cents per pound.
Advance reservations are requested for these flights as well as a 45 minute check in.

Driving/ Renting Car


Driving from San José to Puerto Jiménez is about an eight-hour trip. This is a pleasant way to see the country and go at your own pace. However, you must consider that roads in general are not in good shape. It's advisable not to drive at night, especially during the rainy season. Bus Transportation


From San José to Puerto Jiménez, it is a 9 hour ride on a bumpy highway. Buses are not air-conditioned. Only recommended for the "hearty traveler." Reservations are not taken. Call Transportes Blanco once you are in San José at (506) 257-4121.
