To visit Agro San Miguel Adventures, located 43 Km. from San Isidro, you should commute 28 km more of excellent road of the previous mentioned road. At this point, called La Fortuna de San Pedro, you let the South Interamerican Highway in direction to Talamanca Range, found after 7 Km of a well- pavement road in which the Quirós family lives. This family is Agro San Miguel farm's owner.

To visit San Miguel Farm last 5 Km are traveled from Fatima by a stony or rural road, preferably by a 4x4 car. We are able to provide you with the transportation, if you require so.

What do we offer?

The farm where we open the doors and serve you with pleasure is dedicated, in a small part to the plantation of a world wide and well known quality coffee. Additionally a small process coffee industry can be seen, in which a direct commerce and a the own brand united to 6 more community producers form Planta de café, Agro San Miguel Adventures.

Most of the farm is a preserved forest. For that reason, many small waterfalls emerge. Adding up, this source is the most protected source and in this case, it permits our main tourist activity of Sport Adventure, due to the local topography which is inclined. At this point is where San Miguel's brook is followed by a stony canyon where small waterfalls are found in perimeter of 900 meters giving origin to the Canyoning practice. All these activities are carried out in a direct full- contact with nature, because during this tour there are not buildings, only trees, small and big plants, bird sounds, the silent Morpho butterfly movement and some other multicolored species.

Our Adventure Sport: Canyoning

Canyoning Sport, Agro San Miguel Adventures

Canyoning is a Sport that has a few impacts on nature, because it does not damage it. It consists on the descent by stony walls near the waterfalls using special techniques in which ropes are used.
Security plays an important role in this risky sport. We facilitate the equipment, experimented tourist guides and insurances that cover any eventuality.

Groups are received with a minimum of two people and a maximum of six people. Moreover, age does not represent an obstacle here. The only requirement is to have an acceptable physical condition. If your preference is to practice hiking to enjoy nature, or because some limitations; this activity will fulfill your expectations due to the cardiovascular and muscular exercise. Additionally, some exceptional views are presented to you in which you can take pictures or enjoy them with the specialized guides.

Other activities:

As an all-included package, we additionally offer:

1. Horseback riding or hiking tour, lasting from two to four hours. In these tours you can observe a denser waterfall, a cave located among gigantic rocks, more forest and scenic beauty added with birdsongs like the well- known goldfinch.

2. Coffee Tour by horse or in a 4x4 car to visit San Jerónimo that is an environmentalist countryside place. Located two km far from the farm, in this place, you can observe coffee plantations surrounded by different trees that compliment the small scale industrialization of coffee, including roasting and grinding of coffee in a very traditional form.

3. Trout fishing: You can practice trout fishing and delight it in a spot located 4 Km from San Jerónimo, ascending more in the direction to Chimpó La Amistad National Park. This tour is better by horseback riding.

4. Tours to the Chimpó National Park. This tour is possible due to the proximity of this National Park and San Jerónimo by a direct path. In this protected area the geographical highest point of Central America is found. Here you can enjoy the best hills, lagoons, evenness and the Pacific and Atlantic littoral views.

5. Lounge: in Agro San Miguel Farm we offer you our rustic house to your total immersion in the rural environment of this kind. Therefore we assure you a complete tranquility at night. This service is given in pairs or groups of eight as maximum at a very reasonable price.

General Recommendations

Due to the nature of this place, we advise you to carry extra clothing, and sport shoes, preferably already used that you can dirt and get wet.
