Mar y Selva Ecolodge Overlooking the Ballena Marine National Park, "Mar y Selva" Ecolodge -Costa Rica- is near many other natural treasures such as Corcovado National Park, Caño Island Biological Reserve, the mangroves of the Sierpe and Terraba rivers, beaches like Uvita, Dominical in Costa Ballena and breathtaking waterfalls.

Our Ecolodge is uniquely equipped for training swim teams and other small groups such as yoga groups; having a 25 meter lap pool, small conference Mar y Selva Ecolodge room, yoga mats, as well as onsite rentals of mountain bikes and kayaks for your pleasure. Massage therapy and a Jacuzzi are here for your relaxation.

This ecolodge has ten bungalows with all the comforts of home (fan or A/C, TV, fridge, hairdryer, hot water for tub or shower, wireless internet) and personal attention await you. Each bungalow of the ecolodge has a small deck that looks towards the ocean while being surrounded by primary and secondary jungle as well as fruit trees scattered around the ecolodge.

You can view the ocean and the whales from the balcony on the main floor of the main house, and from some of the bungalows (in season). The sounds of the ocean and jungle will accompany you throughout your stay in this nice ecolodge.

Activities

The Southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica is blessed with an abundance of activities ranging from bird watching to canopy tours, snorkeling, hiking, scuba diving, surfing, sport fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, running, swimming, and kayaking, to tours of the rain forest, the mangroves, waterfalls and the waters of the Pacific. In addition, there are several national parks close by including Manuel Antonio, Corcovado, and Ballena Marine National Parks. The latter is just 10 minutes away. Spanish language schools are also close by.

Mar Y Selva also offers the only 25 meter pool in the region. We can accommodate groups interested in training for adventure races, triathlons, mountain biking and swim camps as well as yoga camps.

Many of these activities are available at the hotel, and all others can be accommodated at short notice. Please check at our reception desk for updated information.
