Laguna Silvestre is a rustic bio-climatic eco-lodge, where you will be taken care by a Costa Rican family who has found in the rural tourism a way to achieve the conservation in the Peninsula of 0sa and at the same time let visitors enjoy the nature and rural culture that are found there. Our lodging is located in the southwestern part of the Peninsula of Osa, 38 kilometers from Puerto Jiménez, 5. 8 km to the north of Piro River. Taking the route to Carate, in the heart of the rain forest of the “Reserva Forestal Golfo Dulce” and at the back of Parque Nacional Corcovado.

In Laguna Silvestre Eco-lodge, you will enjoy the adventure since you will be able to do diverse activities like taking walks and tours in order to observe animals and trees, in a private forest reserve of 260 hectares, conformed by primary and secondary forest where you will be able to find a great amount of mammals like monkeys, jaguars, cougars, “chanchos de monte”. Besides that, you can observe the different classes of birds like “loras”, guacamayas, trogones, hummingbirds, and tangaras that make Peninsula of Osa a beautiful place. As well as the great amount of amphibians like the Golfo Dulce’s frog, or the frog of Red Eyes. Besides, you can observe diverse types of reptiles among them snakes and turtles.

In addition, visitors can enjoy of the tranquility and the quietness of the place. Take a walk among the beautiful gardens, and being delighted with the delicious Costa Rican food and why not to try an exquisite organic chocolate prepared in the place. Also, in Laguna Silvestre Eco-lodge you will be able to participate in activities prepared by locals such as the grain and fruits harvesting, the milking and the back riding tours in the property.

The Eco-lodge is equipped with rooms of double and quadruple occupation, as well as shared baths; in addition we have a dining room, a camping area and platforms strategically located for the observation of beautiful landscapes, that can only be found in the Peninsula of Osa.
